Coastal Heritage & Return to Makassar
Wake up to the peaceful sounds of nature. Enjoy a traditional breakfast before bidding farewell to the Ammatoa community. Return to the vehicle and transfer to the coast of Bulukumba.

Why do we have to wear black and walk barefoot in the village?
The Ammatoa Kajang community lives by the philosophy of Tallasa Kamase-mase (a simple, modest life). Black clothing symbolizes simplicity and equality among all humans, while going barefoot shows respect and direct connection to the sacred earth.
Can I use my mobile phone or camera inside the village?
Photography and electronic device usage are strictly regulated inside the inner customary area (Kawasan Dalam). Your guide will advise you on designated areas where photos are permitted and where electronics must be stored away out of respect for local traditions.
What should I pack for this trip?
Pack lightweight, breathable clothing, comfortable walking sandals (for outside the village), personal toiletries, a flashlight, a power bank (as electricity is restricted in the village), and any personal medications.
