Departure from Makassar & Ascent through Pine Forests
Pickup from Makassar city hotel or Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. Enjoy a scenic drive up into the cool highlands of Malino (~3 hours) to meet your guide and porter team at the basecamp for gear check and safety briefing.

Summit Push & Descent to Hidden Lembah Lohe
Wake up for an early summit push along steep mountain ridges. Reach the 2,830m peak of Mount Bawakaraeng to witness a sunrise over a sea of drifting clouds.

Valley Trek & Return to Makassar

Do I need to carry my own heavy camping gear?
No, the tour includes a porter team to carry camping equipment, tents, sleeping bags, and food supplies. You only need to carry a small daypack with your personal items, water, and camera.
What temperatures should I expect on the mountain?
Temperatures near the peak and valley campsites drop significantly at night, often reaching 10°C to 15°C (50°F–59°F). Warm layers, a fleece/jacket, and thermal socks are recommended.
