Begin the trek passing cocoa plantations and mountain streams before entering dense primary rainforest on the ridge trail.

How difficult is the Mount Gandang Dewata trek?
This is a high-level wilderness expedition suitable for fit, experienced trekkers. The trail involves steep ascents, muddy ridges, variable mountain weather, and remote conditions far from emergency facilities.
Do I carry all my own gear?
Porters are provided to carry group camping gear, tents, cooking supplies, and food. You will carry a daypack containing your personal warm layers, water, rain jacket, camera, and personal items.
What is the water situation on the mountain?
Water sources are limited to specific trail posts (such as Pos 7, Pos 10, and river valleys near Pos 5). Mountain guides will monitor and carry adequate freshwater reserves between watering points.
